Front Fender Flares...

We didn't want our flares looking like the next guys, so we decided to try something different. Instead of putting the flare right at the wheel well opening, why not flare the entire fender. We started by making a cut, the length of the fender, just before it makes the upward transition to the outer crease. Small perpendicular slits had to be made every couple inches to allow the sheet metal to bend along the crease. Next we used a small hydraulic jack between the shock tower and the inside of the fender to help give us the curve we were looking for. We tack welded and checked to make sure we were satisfied with the overall shape before custom fitting the sheet metal used to fill the gap. Using this technique we were able to create a 2 1/2" flare while maintaining the key body lines and curves. It almost hides the flares when looking at the car from the side.

Rear Fender Flares...

The rear fenders would be styled in much the same fashion as the fronts. However this posed the additional challenge of the solid inner wheel well. This would require us to add a 2" strip of sheet metal to the inside and change the angles on the bottom side of the rear quarter. The lower portion of the job was tackled first. We then moved on to the upper half of the quarter panel. Additional vertical cut outs had to be made in order to shorten the length of the top lip. This helped us get the nice smooth curve to match the front fenders.
