River City Shelby Club - Show & Shine 2001
|
Thursday, June 7th, 2001 marked the River City Shelby Club's show & shine. Roger Andriesse, club President, did a excellent job of assembling a great gathering of Shelbys, Cobras and Mustangs for the evenings event. There was anything from examples of original Cobras and perfect restorations to fully prepped track cars. Our thanks to everyone that participated in organizing and everyone that attended. Your participation helped to make the evening a sucess and a memorable event. Thanks again, TCP |

How would you like to have this one sitting in your garage? This all original 1968 Shelby Cobra GT350 took top honors in the Shelby class. Note the factory option Paxton supercharger. With the addition of the supercharger you're looking at about 335hp. |
This Burnt Orange 1965 Coupe is owned by TCP Customer, Don Freeman. Don has put together a very nice little coupe. List of features: EFI 5.0, T5 manual transmission, 17x8 PS Engineering wheels, Manual Rack & Pinion.
This little guy can't possibly be the driver but he sure has good taste in rental cars. This is a well documented 1966 GT350H. For those of you unfamiliar with these. Hertz actually rented these in the 60's through their "Rent-a-Racer" program. | Only about 1,800 Boss 351's were made in 1971, which made this car quite the treat to have at the event. The Boss 351 was one of Fords last attempts at the muscle car market before the market changed in the early '70's. This one is very well restored and was a definate welcome site at the show.
Top image: (left) 1966 Fastback owned by Max and Mary Vander Linden, subframe connectors 1 & 2, power rack & pinion. (right) 1967 Fastback TCP shop/test drive vehicle, fully TCP equipped. | Roger & Rosemary's 1965 Mustang: This car features a 427 stroker kit, TCP power rack & pinon with KRC pump, TCP control arms and strutrods, and more rubber than you can shake a stick at.
Look for an upcoming feature on Mike Megna's 1967 Mustang. This car was built at our shop and is fill with the comforts of a new car. | You're looking at a 1965 Comet Cyclone owned by Rick Carlile. If you think his Cyclone can't run with the rest of the pack, think again. Hidden under the front end is our coilover conversion kit.
There were about a dozen Cobras and replicas on hand to truly make this a Shelby event. The events Best of Show award went to an original 289 Cobra. |
Our very own Ed Crayne received the top honors in the racecar class. Ed runs his '66 Fastback at many of the Nor Cal SAAC open track events and works right here at Total Control. Congratulations Ed! |
