Good Guys Pleasanton 2001 |
Each year the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association hold their annual Summer Get Together. This years show was held on the perfect weekend with great weather and even better custom vehicles of all types. Total Control Products attended the event to meet and greet our Bay Area customers and display our nearly completed project racecar. The show was a great success and we would like to thank Goodguys, and the community of Pleasanton for an excellent weekend. TCP |
Pleasanton hosts a very laid back and personal atmosphere for such a large event. If you haven't the chance to attend one of the Pleasanton shows you should definately put it on your schedule. | One of the nice things about the Alameda County Fairgrounds is the amount of shade. In most of the areas you can actually sit and relax.
Our display booth was located in the Hall of Commerce building. The new rear coilover system attracted quite a bit of attention. | Events give us an excellent chance to meet face to face with alot of the people we talk to on the phone. We wouldn't miss it for the world.
They did a very nice job putting this '66 Coupe together. The attention to detail really paid off. | The engine compartment looks very finished with the polished aluminum dress up kit. Notice the mirrored hood.
Is there anything better thank driving a 1960's racecar (GT350) on the street. Yep, driving one outfitted with our full suspension and steering package. | Here you can see our Tower Brace Kit and upper mounts for the Coilover Kit. This car is for driving enjoyment not just to look at.
I just really like the way this one sits in the grass. | This one almost got away. The bright green and the BOSS graphics really made this one stand out.
And the award for "most highly modified work in progress" goes to the owner of this completely restyled '65 Fastback. (chopped roofline, tubbed rear end) | You never know what may be lurking underneath the 3" cowl induction hood.
It takes a really creative mind or an excessive amount of alcohol to dream up this one. "Let's take a '91 Thunderbird and a '49 Ford, put 'em together and see what we get." | The two radically different body styles blend together suprisingly well. Great job on your custom project!
Wouldn't you like to have this powerplant in your 3000 lb. Mustang. A fuel-injected 302 with Kenny Bell whipple supercharger, with all the fixin's. | Or how about that same supercharged powerplant in a 2400 lb. fully modified Mazda Miata on steroids.
THANKS AGAIN GOODGUYS! |
